Ed Tech Jobs

Summary: Looking for individuals who can provide supervised nursing care in collaboration with Physician/Providers and professional Registered Nurses. Will perform a variety of functions in support and care of patients requiring urgent or emergency care in the Emergency Department.

• Receives direction and assignments from physicians, providers and nurses and provides technical support to optimize patient care
• Assists with transport of patients/clients to other departments
• Insures privacy for patient and confidentiality of condition and personal information
• Responsible for performing tasks that are within the scope of his or her educational preparation, knowledge, and permitted by the policies and procedures of North Sunflower Medical Center
• Maintains use of appropriate medical equipment and supplies
• Responsible for reporting the condition of the patient/client to the appropriate medical staff
• Seeks educational opportunities to increase clinical competency
• Assist patients with ADLs i.e. eating, toileting, walking, etc.
• Bathing and changing patients
• Interacts effectively with other members of the healthcare team
• Keeps skills up to date and increases knowledge and productivity
• Initiates CPR procedure when there is sudden cessation of heartbeat or respirations
• Decontaminates all equipment, instruments and supplies
• Assist with resuscitation/CPR
• Cleans and stocks carts, rooms and changes linens as required

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent desired
• Previous hospital experience preferred
• Maintenance of current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Workers or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification for Healthcare Workers
