Economic Development Housing Specialist
The Town of Eagle, a dynamic, recreation-oriented, and growing community, has an excellent opportunity for a skilled and proven Economic Development Housing Specialist.

Position Title: Economic Development Housing Specialist
Reports to: Assistant Town Manager, Administration Department
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Direct reports to this position: N/A, non-supervisory position
Hiring Pay Range: $29.64 – $35.57/hour

Job Summary: The Economic Development and Housing Specialist performs a variety of professional, technical, and administrative duties related to economic development and business retention and housing within the Town. Will plan, implement, and monitor economic development and housing initiatives to promote sustainable community development. Develops and implements policies, programs, and projects that increase the availability of affordable housing, improve the quality of existing housing, and support the overall housing needs of the community. Works closely with local government officials, community organizations, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for economic growth and affordable housing development.

Education and Experience:

Necessary:

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, public policy, urban planning, or related field.
  • Three (3) plus years of administrative experience in activities related to one or more of the following: economic development, housing, analyzing data, business development, grant administration, real estate development, contract administration general business administration or financial management.
  • Valid state driver’s license or ability to obtain one.

Desired:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish desired.
  • Experience with Main Street Programs, revolving loan fund and/or tax increment financing desired.
  • Master's degree or CEcD or EDFP professional certification desired.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

  • Full-time position with health insurance benefits. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with a typical 8-hour day, flexible between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Regular, predictable, and dependable on-site workplace attendance is an essential function of the job, however flexibility in schedule is supported. Once fully trained, may telecommute ½ or 1 day weekly depending upon meetings & projects.
