Job Description
Summary

A member of the NH Children?s Trust (NHCT) Program Team and reporting to the Early Childhood Initiatives Director, the Early Childhood Specialist must have a thorough, working knowledge of the early childhood initiatives in New Hampshire, including the parameters of the Child Care Scholarship program and the resources available through the NH Connections website (https://www.nh-connections.org/). The ideal candidate will have experience with marketing and public awareness campaigns and will have some technical expertise and comfort in website maintenance.

Duties

NH Connections and Branding Work:
  • Supports Quality Improvement by assisting with analysis of feedback data.
  • Maintains a relationship with the NH Connections web-host to troubleshoot or build webpages as appropriate.
  • Supports the Communications team with the creation of templates, power points, marketing materials, and other projects as assigned.
  • Maintains a system with Early Childhood state-funded vendors to submit requested changes and updates to the NH Connections website.
  • Reviews all submissions of materials to be placed on the NH Connections website for branding and style guide requirements and provides any feedback to the prospective vendor.
  • Updates the NH Connections website with approved updates and content in collaboration with the Early Childhood Initiatives Director
  • Assists in convening a Community of Practice Cohort for all Early Childhood state-funded vendors.
  • Assists with implementation of marketing and awareness efforts for FRCs, Child Care Development Fund Scholarship, Regional Early Childhood Coalitions, and the NH Connections website to help raise awareness statewide.
Early Childhood Work:
  • Attends or reviews content of various stakeholder meetings to represent the interest of NHCT upon request of the Early Childhood Initiatives Director.
  • Attends outreach events on behalf of NHCT, FSNH, etc.
  • Pursues training in various frameworks, such as Standards of Quality, Strengthening Families Framework, Period of PURPLE Crying, or others, to support training to the ECE Sector.
  • Presents on topics such as Family Support New Hampshire (FSNH), Primary Prevention Strategies, NH Children?s Trust (NHCT), Early Childhood Regions, NH Connections, and others as deemed necessary.
  • Represents NHCT pertaining to early childhood work on various committees, coalition meetings, or community collaborative projects as determined by need.

Requirements
  • Ability to travel on occasion throughout the state
  • Occasional nights and weekends for events required
  • Other duties as necessary

Nice To Haves
  • Strong language comprehension and writing skills, experience with marketing a plus.
  • Ability to provide feedback in a strengths-based way.
  • Two to five years? experience in the early childhood educator field.
  • Website creation and maintenance skills.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • Experience in Statewide Systems Building.
  • Technical Assistance Experience is a plus.
