Job Description
Summary

The non-profit Clemson Child Development Center (CCDC) is seeking an Executive Director with primary responsibility for financial oversight, fundraising, public relations, compliance, and employee management. The Executive Director reports directly to the volunteer Board of Directors and is responsible for oversight of the Center?s financial operations in accordance with best practices and regulations. The Executive Director will work in tandem with the Program Director to ensure the health, safety, and quality of education for all children enrolled in the program.


Duties

? Oversee all administrative functions including center budget; payroll; accounts payable and receivable; tuition billing, payment and reimbursement; non-academic personnel management (staff supervision) and purchasing.

? Maintain positive relationships with federal and state regulatory agencies and city government.

? Facilitate communication with local funding organizations such as churches, service organizations, businesses, and individuals by fostering these relationships and encouraging continued funding.

? Submit grant proposals and other funding requests, receive charitable donations, respond to grants and gifts, and report on grant-funded expenditures and identify new income streams for Center.

? Oversee additional fundraising campaigns and track such income and spending; ensure legal and financial compliance.

? Manage budget planning and review in close consultation with Program Director and the Board of Directors.

? Represent and promote the Center publicly in person and via social media and news outlets.

? Supervise non-classroom employees, clearly communicating expectations, addressing conflicts (including corrective action when necessary) to ensure a positive experience for everyone.

? Build a robust volunteer program to include parental involvement that meets the State Division of Child Development Quality Assurance Standards and a corps of volunteers for special events or projects.

? Monitor and report to the City of Clemson and the CCDC Board the need for maintenance or repair of physical facilities and equipment.

? Oversee the Center?s compliance with the SC DSS Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).




Requirements

? Minimum of three years of supervisory experience. Prefer experience in childcare, education or non-profit.

? Strong oral and written communications skills.

? Technology skills in Microsoft 365 and QuickBooks; ability to use ICare Software; experience using social media platforms

? Knowledge of and ability to communicate benchmarks of healthy child development.

? Strong finance and budgeting skills.

? Excellent leadership, organizational, and people skills. Demonstrated ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.

? Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

? Must pass full background check.
