Eagle Rock: Full-Time Engaging & Inclusive Nanny

Family Syllabus: This lovely family in Eagle Rock is looking for a kind and gentle nanny to join their blossoming family! These busy and engaging mothers have two girls, a 2-year-old and a 7-month-old who need patient, loving, and full-time care. The toddler enjoys music, she is super verbal, and loves to learn! The family also has a cat that will not require care from the nanny but may curl up near the nanny during story time. The parents work from inside the home on Mondays and Fridays each week, and they are about to go back to work from maternity leave.

Ideal Candidate: This fantastic family is hoping to find a progressive nanny who wants to grow with the family for many years to come. A nanny who is experienced and comfortable dealing with a sesame allergy for their toddler and administering medicine or epi-pen in the event of an emergency is required. The family is hoping to find a nanny who has experience with African American hair and it’s a huge bonus if you can speak French, but this is not a requirement. Fluent English will do! A nanny who is well-versed in child development and activities for the toddler for the next year until she goes to preschool would be beneficial, as well as someone who understands the stages of infant development and can assist with safe sleep practices and schedules, feeding an infant, and keeping on a consistent routine. Knowledgeable and experienced in gentle parenting is required.

Job Synopsis: Begin your day by singing songs to a sweet baby girl and end your day by reading a stack of picture books to the inquisitive toddler. Creating fun, age-appropriate activities as the girls reach new milestones, and connecting with the family for years to come are on this family’s wish list! Keeping a steady, gentle demeanor throughout the day and allowing their girls’ personalities to shine through is of the utmost importance. Additional duties for this amazing role include cleaning up after the children each day, preparing healthy meals for the children, and helping with their laundry. The position will be 35-45 hours a week, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm. This role is paying between $35-45/hour gross DOE with paid vacation and sick days, paid holidays, guaranteed pay when the family travels, and a monthly medical stipend. Please note a college degree is not required for this position, but the family prefers candidates who have a background in child development. There is a potential for traveling with the family to Paris in 2023, and this is a great opportunity for a nanny who loves to travel, but this is not a deal breaker if you would like to stay home and manage some of the home duties.

Vaccination Requirements: This family is requesting a nanny who is fully COVID vaccinated and boosted with Tdap and the flu shot.
