Drivers For Meals On Wheels

Are you looking for meaningful employment that works on your schedule?\ \ Well driving for Meals on Wheels may just be your perfect fit, we are looking for drivers who can service a multitude of areas including Concord, Allenstown, Suncook, and Franklin. You have the flexibility to drive as often, or as little as you like and deliver your meals in the AM or PM. You can work a regular route multiple days a week or sign up as substitute and fill in when others are sick or on vacation. You can even earn paid time off as a part time employee!\ \ The Meals on Wheels program provides meals to seniors who need them in the local area. While the program is focused on nutrition, meal recipients and driver\'s alike enjoy the social aspect of the program and look forward to seeing one another every week. You\'re doing more than providing meals but also providing social support. Meals on Wheels is managed by the Community Action Program of Belknap-Merrimack, an agency with a decades long legacy dedicated to fighting poverty and empowering our community.
Drivers are needed Monday through Friday approximately four hours a day. No experience is necessary.
The rate is \$10.50/hr. plus mileage.
Responsibilities And Requirements

• Ability to organize efficient route plans and work under time constraints of food delivery.
• Ability to physically lift coolers containing meals weighing up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and wash coolers.
• Reports safety, environmental or social service needs of the participants to supervisor.
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Picks up meals from the program site and if requested assists in meal packing.
• Delivers meals courteously and in a timely manner.
• Must have a reliable source of transportation to be used in fulfilling responsibilities of the position and maintain minimum insurance coverage.
• Reviews the delivery route of meals to see if there are any changes.
• Must be flexible and able to work in a team environment.

Hours: Maximum hours are 20 hours a week and minimum hours are flexible as a substitute.
