Job Description

Position Summary:

  • Operator that is responsible for operating company equipment daily. Responsible for daily maintenance of machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures locates are correct.
  • Assist in training laborers with performing the maintenance and repair duties, as required, or assigned.
  • Operates equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to operate Hydraulic Hoe pack, Upright compactor, Air compressors, etc.
  • Assists laborers with hand digging and potholing when needed.
  • Ability to operate Ditch Witch and Vermeer horizontal direction drills.
  • Clean equipment.
  • Follow daily procedures and protocols set forth in job orientations and trainings.
  • Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
  • Ability to operate digitrack locating systems- F-2, F-5 and F-5 Flacon
  • Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman, Supervisor, Safety Coordinator, or HR.
  • Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
