Scott's Lumber (Lyman Lumber), a Division of USLBM Is Seeking a Drafter to join their team in Sioux Falls, SD!
Schedule: Mon-Fri: 8:00AM - 5:00PM (flexible, possible hybrid role after training)
Wage: $ 20.00 per hour
How you will spend your days as a Drafter at Scott's Lumber:

• Communicate with sales staff and managers on project status and appropriate drafting charges, and complete projects on a timely basis.
• Maintain and operate computer-aided drafting equipment. Keep current with the latest technologies, materials and building techniques.
• Communicate with municipal building officials regarding building specifications.
• Develop a list of building materials as required.
• Assist customers in purchasing the project materials and sell to professional customers as required.
• Communicate with walk-in and contractor customers to discuss design ideas, and draft drawings to assist in construction of new or remodel work. Accurately draw the appropriate number and kind of plans and elevations.

Drafter Requirements

• Technical Skills. Computer Experience using MS Office Products.
• Knowledge. Previous building material knowledge. (Preferred). Knowledge of building codes and construction practices.
• Experience. One to two years’ college or trade school education in architectural drafting, or equivalent experience.
