Autocad Drafter Jobs

For over 100 years, Maguire Iron has been an industry leader in the fabrication, construction, and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers. The CAD Drafter at Maguire Iron will work closely with other employees to provide accurate and timely technical drawings and plans for our Fabrication, Erection and Iron divisions.

Essential Functions

• Perform all cutting programs for fabrication
• Review engineers’ specifications/drawings
• Perform radiography drawings for each individual tank
• Perform plasma cut list for fabrication
• Follow-up on approved shop drawings and make corrections for the fabrication plant/resubmit if necessary
• Check shop quality control and fabrication is constructed per shop drawings
• Perform checklist for trucking loads
• Perform plate layouts
• Perform weld quality drawings/tracking sheets
• Review release for construction drawings and cross reference to Engineer drawings and spec book
• Schedule/Ship anchor bolts to foundation sub
• Perform shop drawings for fabrication of tank
• Perform detailed shipping list for each project

Qualifications

• AutoCAD experience preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate
• Professional attitude when dealing with engineers, project managers and shop personnel
• Team oriented person who can focus on the details
• Organizational, time management and computer skills are required
• Two-year drafting degree preferred or equivalent work experience
