Hello,

My name is David, and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a ­­­­­­­­Drafter for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in ­­Richmond, VA. Details for the position are as follows:

:

• Generates detailed assemblies from supplied sketches.
• Develops moderate to complex drawings using existing components & standard drafting techniques
• $22-25 Pay Rate
• Follows Engineering change control process to assure correct revisions are available as required.
• As a member of the Product Engineering team, the drafting specialist will be responsible for supporting Special/Micro/Customer projects, including creating and updating drawings, BOM's and associated design data under the guidance of Project Engineers
• Identify and recommend process improvements in the Engineering documentation and Change Notices.
• Manages design data in PLM system, assuring that revision control meets company requirements
• Other tasks required to drive project completion as directed by the Project Engineers.

Qualifications:

• Working in Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel
• Related drafting work experience, documenting mechanical parts and assemblies
• Experience in AutoCAD
• Experience working in a Product Life Cycle Management software such as Windchill or SmartTeam to assure proper revision control and document distribution
• Experience with 3D engineering design software, such as SolidWorks or Inventor, including 3D model creation, component selection and documentation
