  • High School Diploma/GED and related experience and/or training
  • Willingness to take direction from Service Manager
  • Valid California class C driver’s license and excellent driving record
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in everyday situations
  • Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and flammable gas and occasionally exposed to propane vapors. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • Compensation Competitive starting hourly wage range $16 - $20, yearly bonus, company paid health benefits for employee and dependents, paid vacation, sick and holidays, Profit Sharing and 401k plan in a professional environment with a successful family business. Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.

  • Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, the individual must show aptitude in the following areas:

    • High School Diploma/GED and related experience and/or training
    • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
    • Write routine reports and correspondence
    • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
    • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in everyday situations
    • Valid California class C driver’s license and excellent driving record
    • Speak fluent Spanish, preferred
    • Communicate clearly and effectively to convey information to customers and co- workers
    • Willingness to take direction from Service Manager
    • Detail oriented
    • Ability to work independently
  • Your Impact The Dock Worker is the first contact with our walk in customers. We are looking for a friendly, welcoming person to provide a high quality of customer service. This person is at the center of our company operations. They help propel the Service Department but also support our Bobtail Drivers. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, refilling propane tanks, repairing propane tanks, plant security, monthly inventory, clean warehouse bathroom, yard maintenance and closing yard procedures. This is an entry level position with room to grow with the company.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and color vision with the ability to adjust focus.
