The Distribution/Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the effective and safe distribution of product within a Sales Center facility and is tasked with ensuring that all logistics activities are operating efficiently.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with company management to meet budgetary and operational goals
  • Make recommendations and implement processes to improve the overall productivity, quality and safety of warehouse operations
  • Responsible for execution of inventory managements processes, including but not limited to, accurate customer invoicing, inventory returns, Check-out and Check-in
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
  • Maintain and enforce standards of health, safety, hygiene and security
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels of full goods are maintained in order to fulfill daily sales needs
  • Lead and manage a team of delivery supervisors and employees; ensure team is adequately staffed, engaged in their work, motivated, well-managed, well-informed, empowered and trained for success.
  • Create and maintain a customer-focused environment with a commitment to superior customer service
  • Work with the DSD planning team to ensure strategic route plan frameworks are updated to improve efficiency and to satisfy customer demand and service requirements with the optimal delivery operating expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including DOT, DVIR and OSHA regulations
  • Supervise team of warehouse employees; ensure team is adequately staffed, managed and trained
  • Ensure efficient utilization of space; establish warehouse layout and route truck loading patterns that minimize loading times and guarantee proper stock rotation
  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with OSHA regulations as well as company established policies and procedures
  • Lead and manage safe and efficient distribution operations, which include, distribution schedules, delivery routes, vehicle assignments, truck inventories, supporting equipment, material handling, delivery, invoicing, and merchandising of product.

Job Requirements

  • Valid DOT Medical Card required, CDL-A preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and across teams where necessary, to develop relationships throughout the company and to work collaboratively
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, to clearly articulate relevant ideas, opinions, and information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • 5 years of experience in Warehouse & Distribution, Supply Chain, logistics or related field required
  • Ability to effectively lead, develop, manage, and motivate employees
  • Strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
  • Previous supervisory and / or leadership experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Basic technical knowledge and working experience with SAP preferred
