What will you do?

  • Ensure timely shipment of all orders and adherence to facility goals. Resolve problems that prevent timely and efficient handling of inbound and outbound orders.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining SOP’s for Distribution Center and prepares and updates required reports.
  • Lead distribution operations team through subordinate supervisors. Own all objectives pertaining to training and motivation of personnel as well as employee development and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct team meetings and lead all aspects of administrative staff to ensure an even flow of orders are released per the order picking schedule. Promote creative thinking, empowerment and two-way communication.
  • Assumes the duties of Supervisors in their functional areas in the event of their absence. Interacts with MIS and Maintenance Department to monitor that equipment is in proper working order and preventive maintenance is completed.
  • Work with the Regional Operations Manager to ensure total P & L goals and objectives are met. Creative in finding opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions and termination of employees when appropriate, with Human Resources’ approval. Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed accurately and efficiently. Make recommendations regarding workflow and overtime.
  • Ensure that storage of materials is in keeping with State, DEA, ATF and OSHA regulations. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all regulatory and operational procedures.

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum required education: High School Diploma/ GED

Experience:

  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills required (lead, coach and empower employees, along with excellent communication skills to relate to employees, peers, and various levels of management).
  • Must have knowledge of operational safety and health.
  • Experience in continuous improvement preferred.
  • 5 years of wide-ranging management experience in a distribution operations environment required.
  • Must possess basic understanding of transportation processes and current knowledge of regulatory requirements including DOT and HAZMAT

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong customer orientation to develop customer relationships.
  • Possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Word, and Excel and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Ability to handle challenges and give positive and negative feedback along with handling performance issues.
  • Limited travel required, ability to lift 50 pounds, ability to work in a warehouse environment with no air conditioning in the summer.
  • Develop and deliver training related to warehouse operations, including compliance training, procedures writing and planning development.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range estimated for this position based in Colorado is $70,800k - 94,400k.
