Description


SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a 32-hour/week food service utility player for a private boarding school in Middletown, Rhode Island. Join a team where we really care about delivering exceptional dining experiences at every meal that delight the senses, inspire minds, and foster community.


We are seeking an individual who enjoys working on a small team and who also can be successful working individually. We are looking for a person with a fun personality to engage with our guests. This is fast-paced, on a beautiful campus with a kind community of students and faculty.


The position has summers and holidays off, following the school schedule. Join our team and experience all the benefits we have to offer.


Schedule


  • Occasional overtime for catering events with advanced notice
  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm
  • Summers off

What You'll Do


  • Adapt to additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Interact cheerfully with SAGE guests and Team Members and provide service with a smile
  • Bag all garbage and boxes and disposing these in appropriate dumpsters.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
  • Set-up and break down the dish machine and sanitizing equipment.
  • Rotate products in inventory.
  • Adhere to SAGE’s safety and allergy prevention policies.
  • Maintain a clean kitchen, properly washing and sorting soiled dishes.
  • Endure exposure to extreme temperatures; intense heat and freezing cold.
  • Clean, restock, and replenish serving lines and stations to ensure our guests enjoy an exquisite dining experience.


What You'll Need


  • Ability to understand and apply FIFO inventory procedures.
  • Ability to keep all stock areas neat and clean.
