Job Description

Location: 2105 Lyndale Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN

Full-time, PM, 4 shifts/week

PURPOSE: To maintain a level of organization and cleanliness that exceeds health code standards; to wash and organize all wares that are brought to the scullery; to assist in maintenance of kitchen, sit-down area and other areas as assigned by Prepared Foods Management.

REPORTS TO: Prepared Foods Managers

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Other duties as assigned
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and organizational tasks as assigned by the Prepared Foods Manager and Prepared Foods Asst. Managers.
  • Wash and put away small and large wares used by Prepared Foods and Meat and Seafood.
  • Do minor food preparation work, packaging, receiving and stocking as assigned by the supervisors or as needed.
  • Work in a safe manner, following safety procedures.
  • Frequently attend to front of store sit-down area busing and cleaning tables and floors.

  • Follow Instructions, policies, and procedures as expressed in orientation, the handbook and departmental guides.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to perform continuous fine work with hands
  • Work with knives and other sharp objects
  • Exposure to temperature extremes (both hot and cold)
  • Exposure to cleaning solutions
  • Standing and walking for an 8 hour shift
  • Repeated bending and lifting (up to 60 lbs.)
  • Climbing ladders

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with food safety or sanitation procedures
