OSDH is seeking a full time Disease Intervention Specialist IV providing support to Sexual Health and Harm Reduction Services with the Oklahoma State Department of Health. This is a state employee position PIN 34001560 governed by the , in state government located in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma. OSDH offers a comprehensive packet, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents. Education and Experience

This position is a supervisory position responsible for a team of disease intervention specialists. Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of those identified in DIS Level III or DIS Level II plus three additional years of qualifying experience.

Valued Knowledge, skills and abilities

This position is a supervisory position responsible for a team of disease intervention specialists. Must display the qualities mentorship, coaching, leadership, teamwork and management with a high-rate of accuracy. This position also knowledge of supervisory principles and practices. Ability is required to supervise and direct the work of others and to plan and implement various disease prevention and control programs. Team leads also rank as a level IV. Team leads supervise and are responsible for a team of disease intervention specialist.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Combination of office, vehicle, and public establishments with a climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise level. While performing the duties of the job, employee is required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires long period of sitting, standing, and daily use of computer and phone. In state travel is required to attend local community meetings and schools. Applicants must be willing to perform all job-related travel associated with this position.
