Job Description
Responsibilities:
The Director, Safety & Security ensures a safe and secure healthcare environment for patients, visitors and team members through the direction and oversight of Security and Safety Services within Norton Healthcare.

This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Providing strategic leadership, advice and counsel in the planning, development and organization of security, safety and emergency management
  • Directing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and other state, local, or industry specific regulations
  • Offering programs to ensure a safe workplace such as safety orientations, skill training, emergency preparedness, proper job instruction and hazardous material disposal procedures
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Without degree: Nine years safety, security or both
  • With Bachelors: Five years safety, security or both
  • Bachelor Degree
Desired:
  • Master Degree
  • Certified Healthcare Safety Professional OR Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator
