Director, Public Safety Jobs

Plans, organizes, implements, and directs Security activities and staff for the Newburgh and Cornwall campuses and off-site locations. Maintains oversight of Emergency Management, Environment of Care (EOC), the parking garage and the Avigilon access control and video surveillance systems. Oversees the incident reporting system and conducts all internal/external special investigations and documentation of such accordingly. Responsible for policy review/formation, security action plans, and security budget. Influences policies that achieve health equity, promote wellness, and protect against inequity for people of marginalized and underrepresented communities.

Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Safety, or Emergency Management with at least five (5) years in a management or leadership capacity. Knowledge of Federal, State, and regulatory agencies concerning hospital requirements in security, safety, and emergency management is strongly preferred.

Licensure, Registration or Certification: Valid driver's license with no current violations or suspensions.
