Provides advice and counsel to a designated business / group to execute the Corporate Real Estate and business/group strategy. Completes analytical and strategic work to deliver business results and/or minimize risk.

  • In-depth knowledge of data analysis, management, and modeling tools, and software application development methods.
  • Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
  • Data driven decision making - Expert.
  • Supports the development of tailored messaging, which may include writing, editing and distributing communications.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a senior specialist resource across BMO.
  • Develops and applies the framework for databases; oversees database management in adherence with data governance standards.
  • Develops solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - Expert.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management methodologies, processes, and frameworks, including Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence.
  • Solid understanding of ISO standards for risk management, product and service quality, information security, and environmental management.
  • Advanced understanding of day-to-day physical security operations in critical environments.
  • Provides advice and guidance to assigned business/group on implementation of wide range of topics and solutions.
  • Fosters a culture aligned to BMO purpose, values and strategy and role models BMO values and behaviours in all that they do.
  • Completion of Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) or other industry recognized professional accreditation related in facility operations and management.
  • May network with industry contacts to gather and identify competitive insights and best practices.
  • In-depth understanding of data centre infrastructures and the function of diverse roles and trades required for their operation.
  • Understanding of business consulting methods and practices (Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation beneficial but not required).
  • General understanding of environmental issues related to development of facilities, critical environments, and operational impacts.
  • Thorough understanding of business continuity management and continuous business operating models.
  • Anticipates trends and responds by implementing appropriate changes.
  • Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration - Expert.
  • Regularly connects work to BMO's purpose, sets inspirational goals, defines clear expected outcomes, and ensures clear accountability for follow through.

  • Good knowledge of building construction and data centre infrastructures.

  • Provides input into annual financial investment plans for critical facility operating expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Solid experience with large business critical computer centres; familiarity with IT operations, service management, and hardware deployment.

  • Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in Business Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience; completion of an MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • Leads the development of the communication strategy focusing on positively influencing or changing behaviour.
  • Fosters strong internal and external networks and works with and across multiple teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Supports change management of varying scope and type; tasks typically focused on execution and sustainment activities.
  • Able to manage ambiguity.
  • Seasoned expert with extensive industry knowledge.
  • In-depth experience applying ITIL processes in IT operations and critical facilities environments.
  • Provides input into the planning and implementation of programs and solutions and executes within applicable service level agreements and standards.
  • Collaborates across BMO to develop communications strategies and ensure consistency of messaging, in order to positively influence or change behaviour.
  • Design (LEEDS) principles beneficial; certification not required.
  • Ensures alignment between values and behaviour that fosters diversity and inclusion.
  • Thorough understanding of business performance measurement methodologies and best practices.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed. Qualifications:
