Job Description
ASSA ABLOY is looking to add a Director of Order Management.
Your primary responsibility will be to leverage your understanding of business and customer requirements, to develop and execute order management strategy, and organize front end resources for maximum effect.
This is a newly created position that will report to the Vice President, Manufacturing Strategy and Operational Excellence. The preference is that the role be baased out of one of the following Door Group locations: Ceco Door in Milan, Tennessee, Curries in Mason City, Iowa, or our regional manufacturing facility (Service Center) in Mesquite, Texas.

What would you do as our Director of Order Management?
You will lead teams of subject matter experts in the configuration of customer orders and projects in a custom, engineered to order environment, while effectively prioritizing and delivering on multiple improvement projects simultaneously.
You would also:
  • Effectively prioritize and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously. A bility to marshal resources to get things done, orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal, and use resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong persuasion and negotiations skills, and the ability to engage, challenge and influence thinking to effect change throughout an organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand problems, facilitate discussions, pose solutions, and/or surface alternatives.
  • Continually assess and build team technical competencies, leadership bench-strength and overall quality and delivery capabilities within scope of influence, in a collaborative high performance work environment
  • Act as the trusted advisor on front end business processes, developing the business architecture (organization structures, processes, capabilities, tools) necessary to deliver robust, nimble, resilient, order management function.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Build a respectful, professional culture which rewards team and individual success.
  • Partner with the organization to maintain an awareness of business conditions, strategies, and practices which may intersect with, or shape the development of order management strategy.
  • Continually evolve front end capacity planning and capacity management strategy, delivering a right-sized team, ahead of the business growth curve
  • Partner with peer leaders and departments to enhance working relations, and improve organizational alignment, across multiple sites.
  • Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations, and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
  • Continually evolve the integral operating framework of order management, delivering measurable programs and practices which facilitate high-performance outcomes.
  • Actively participates in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
What we are looking for:
  • Possess the ability to be data driven, analyze information using Business Intelligence tools, Excel and an array of related software.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Organizational Leadership, an Engineering discipline and/or equivalent related work experience and certifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience leading teams and developing first line managers, managing relationships with suppliers, and experience interacting with external customers in high-pressure business situations.
  • Ability to prioritize complex work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to travel, as needed.
  • Possess e xcellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to present complex information to all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic business acumen, with experience assessing a broad range of processes to identify and deliver solutions, considerate of performance, stability, cost, and simplicity.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
