Position: Director of Risk Management

Company Overview: Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization in the Environmental Consulting, Engineering and Construction Materials Testing to the design and construction community.

Role Overview: As the Director of Risk Management, you will play a critical role in overseeing and implementing risk management strategies across the organization. Your responsibilities will encompass legal collaboration, contract management, and leveraging technology to improve risk

management processes. You will collaborate closely with the President and Executive Leadership Team to contribute to the long-term growth strategy and enhance operational processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and Lead Risk Management Strategy: Create and implement a robust risk management strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives and enhances operational efficiency.

• Manage Outside Counsel: Oversee ongoing legal matters and collaborate with outside counsel as needed. Effectively communicate legal requirements and company objectives to ensure seamless execution of risk management strategies.

• Legal Reviews: Conduct thorough legal reviews of various documents, agreements, and contracts.

• Contract Management: Review client-generated and vendor contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards. Proactively identify areas of improvement for risk management practices and coordinate with outside counsel when necessary.

• Risk Assessment: Develop and execute risk assessment initiatives. Analyze potential risks and recommend proactive measures to minimize exposure.

• Strategic Planning: Work closely with the leadership team to improve strategic planning processes, ensuring risk considerations are integrated into decision-making.

• Operational Risk Oversight: Manage operational risks associated with the company, including coordination and leadership of the Safety and Fleet departments.

• Reporting: Prepare and present risk management reports to the executive team and relevant stakeholders. Offer strategic insights and actionable recommendations to support decision-making.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is preferred.

• Proven experience in risk management, contract management, legal collaboration and leadership experience or potential to lead others.

• Strong legal acumen and the ability to interpret complex legal documents.

• Demonstrated expertise in identifying and mitigating various types of business risks.
