Essential Duties And Responsibilities


The planning and implementation of a comprehensive residential experience for UNC Charlotte students. Lead and supervise the Residence Life unit; provide vision and direction to the residence education program; contribute to senior-level decision-making as part of the HRL Director and Central Management leadership teams; develop and maintain a focused relationship with campus dining; academic success; student conduct, campus involvement, student support and health and wellbeing partners; develop the Residence Life budget and priorities for resource allocation; oversee recruitment, training and development programs for Residence Life full-time and student staff; Manage critical behavioral incidents and Residence Life emergency response protocols including on-call and after-hours staffing; other projects as assigned by the Associate Vice Chancellor.


Minimum Experience / Education


  • 10 years of progressive professional (post-masters) experience in campus housing, student affairs or a related field.
  • Masters Degree (preferably in higher education, counseling and/or student personnel, or related field).


Preferred Education Skills And Experience


  • Doctorate in higher education, student personnel or related field.
  • 10 years of progressive professional post-masters experience supervising full-time staff in campus housing, student affairs or a related field.
