Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President for Research, the Director of Research Compliance ensures compliance with federal, state, and University regulatory requirements related to research activities and supervises the Institutional Review Board for Human Subjects (IRB).


Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, and directs research and compliance operations and budget for the University’s Research Compliance program, Institutional Review Board for Human Subjects (IRB), Conflict of Interest Program, Research Misconduct, and Export Control within the Office of Research. Leads the development and implementation of new processes in the research compliance area.


Qualifications

Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university.Minimum of five years of experience working in a research compliance environment in higher education or a related field. Knowledge of federal rules and regulations regarding human subject protections and biosafety at a higher education setting, or a related field.
