Job Description
The Director of Replenishment & Allocation will lead a team to support merchandising by executing replenishment functions for the supply chain.
This position will be responsible for supporting company in-stocks, allocation of merchandise, training and developing Replenishment & Allocation Analysts, driving replenishment results, providing buying tool support and keeping focus on top company sellers to drive depth. The Director of Replenishment will partner with the distribution center to forecast the flow of goods to optimize efficiency and prepare our stores for important seasonal delivery of goods.
The Director of Replenishment will ensure that all the warehouse, logistical and store inventory processes are coordinated in order to make sure products can be efficiently and successfully delivered to the appropriate locations in support of advertising, NPRs and seasonal needs. Responsible for analyzing and reporting in-stock position to the company.
Essential Functions
  • Directly leads the Replenishment & Allocation Analysts in partnership with the Category Manager on a dotted line basis.
  • Develops analytics and tools for supporting replenishment and forecasting.
  • Creates and implements Replenishment Strategy to maximize sales, margin and inventory productivity throughout the lifecycle of products.
  • Drives replenishment and accurate store forecasts throughout the supply chain.
  • Leads best practice across Inventory Management functions (replenishment and allocation) relating to merchants, distribution and stores.
  • Accountable for replenishment and allocation team progression to include training, coaching and development.
  • Serves as project lead for ad hoc projects by managing objectives, deliverables, and key milestones with minimal supervision.
  • Analyzes replenishment data for accurate planning and influence decision making.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervision of teams up to 12 individuals.
  • Experience with a multi-store replenishment environment required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field is required.
  • Understanding of JDA replenishment desirable.
  • Retail experience required.
  • Four or more years of experience with retail merchandise replenishment role, category management, or retail consulting (or related fields).
