Director Of Rehabilitation Services

Position Qualifications:

• Position also requires effective written and verbal communication skills, leadership skills, effective customer relation skills, ability to exercise mature judgment and initiative in analyzing problems and recommending/implementing solutions to provide effective rehab services.
• This position requires meeting educational and state requirements for clinical practice and licensure in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the orientation and review process of rehab employees.
• Maintain requirements for licensure and privileges to work in contracted facilities.
• Adhere to the minimum weekly productivity standard of 60% dependent upon direction from the Regional Therapy Director.
• Communicate regularly with Administrator/DON/MDS Coordinator to identify/resolve any potential issues or problems.
• Track admissions and discharges; and residents in need of evaluations and obtain treatment orders prior to treatment.
• Provide direct resident treatment services as needed in area of discipline.
• Maintain CPR certification.
• Maintain current licensure.
• Coordinate staffing coverage to ensure all resident care is rendered.
