Job Description
PsychiaTreat's mission is to provide comprehensive, personalized, compassionate, and evidence-based care to people suffering from mental health disorders. We are dedicated to offering a wide range of therapeutic modalities ranging from medication management, psychotherapy, and cutting edge treatments.


We deliver an in depth psychiatric evaluation that determines the best treatment for the individual. This can include pharmacologic management as well as individual or group psychotherapy. Every treatment plan is tailor-made to the patient’s needs.


PsychiaTreat is also a safe and welcoming space for all people including the LGBTQAI+ community. In addition to in-person visits we also offer telehealth services.


PsychiaTreat's Psychological Services Director directs and coordinates the policies, objectives, initiatives, and programs for the delivery of psychological services to patients. You will also oversee the treatment of patients with emotional, mental, and or psychological disorders. A Psychological Services Director ensures that the psychological division follows regulatory compliance requirements and standard procedures. This position requires a doctoral degree in psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution or its equivalent. An LCSW with over 5 years of relevant experience will also be considered. Additionally, Psychological Services Director reports to top management. The Psychological Services Director manages a departmental sub-function and develops budgets, policies, and procedures to support the functional Infrastructure, Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall department function.


  • Responsible to participate in continuing medical education, quality assurance programs, and to follow Psychiatreat QI Plan.
  • Governance Responsibilities
  • Responsible to follow all guidelines of the Bureau of Primary Health Care, US Department of Health and Human Services, New York State Department of Health and New York State Department of Labor, the policies and procedures and the Personnel Policy Handbook of PsychiaTreat.
  • Responsible to make your best effort to maximize billing and collections for Psychiatreat by coding for all procedures performed and educating your patients to return for follow up appointments and preventative services.
  • Responsible to complete a social history including a psychosocial assessment and make a determination as to whether psychiatric and psychological evaluations are needed.
  • Responsible for participating in general clinical performance improvement activities including regular peer review of your colleagues’ charts.
  • Responsible to refer patients, as needed to specialty and sub specialty providers both in house and outside the center as needed, i.e. Psychiatric, psychological counseling.
  • Responsible to assist Psychiatreat with any new programs for which Psychiatreat may apply – including but not limited to chemical addictions and homeless population.
  • Prior Authorization (PA), assist patients who need treatment requiring insurance carrier pre-authorization. Interview patients to assess their medication needs and liaise with insurance companies, nurse managers, and psychiatrists for prior authorization approval.
  • General Responsibilities
  • Responsible for attending departmental, quality improvement or other meetings both in PsychiaTreat and outside the facility as directed by the PsychiaTreat executive staff
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times as per HIPAA Law and PsychiaTreat policies and procedures.
  • Responsible to run group sessions as requested.
  • Responsible to develop and review service plans in consultation with clients, and perform follow-ups assessing the quantity and quality of services provided.
  • Responsible for participating in quality improvement activities connected with PsychiaTreat.
  • Responsible to ensure all licenses and certifications are renewed one month before expiration date and provide documentation of renewals to the HR Department.

  • Responsible to perform all duties and responsibilities as delineated in your deeming and scope of services as approved by the Medical Director and Clinical Director.
  • Responsible to supervise Psychologists, LCSWs, LMSWs, or other mental health professionals and review all cases for which you are responsible (if applicable).
  • Responsible to participate in all insurance plans for which Psychiatreat is and will in the future become a provider.
  • Project assignments must meet goals and deadlines.
  • Must be available for QI, training and/or administrative meetings and sessions during Psychiatreat scheduled hours.
  • Responsible to record patient’s problems and progress, including subjective data, objective findings, assessments and plans of care in the medical chart.

  • Responsible to interview clients individually, in families, or in groups, assessing their situations, capabilities, and problems, to determine what services are required to meet their needs.
