Director Of Project Management

Your new company:

I am representing an award-winning Commercial Real Estate firm who provide excellent project management/owners representative services to their clients in the Washington DC area. Due to their continued growth, the company are looking to hire a Director into a newly established position where you provide leadership to a team of talented project managers. Considered for this position will be professionals with 15+ years of commercial real estate experience at the level of a Directors or Executive.

The position:

As a Director, you will manage and provide technical assistance to a team of highly talented construction project managers who are working on behalf of clients, overseeing the successfully delivery of construction projects in the DC area.

Whilst you will be closely incorporated into the projects, this is a leadership position where you will be removed from the day-to-day management of running projects. You are tasked with supporting a team of project managers on their individual projects, getting involved where required including site/clients visits to ensure the projects are meeting the expectations of the client and your team has the necessary resources to deliver a successful project.

You will be working very closely with the company ownership to identify new business development opportunities as well as strategizing new company initiatives. Seeking cultivating new and existing company relationships to lead to new business is critical, as well as fostering positive relationships with industry partners, client representatives and service providers. Your role will incorporate attending networking events within the DC commercial real estate industry. As the company experiences further growth, you will hold a pivotal role in recruiting, mentoring, and developing new and existing members to the team.

To be successful in this position, you will need:

• Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate and develop relationships with multiple vendors including brokers, end clients, general contractors, architects, and the internal company employees.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Architecture, Business or Engineering.
• Proficient understanding and an excellent track record of delivering high-profile, complex construction projects.
• 15+ years of professional experience working for a commercial real estate company in the capacity of an executive/director level.
• Proven track record of managing, mentoring, developing a team of construction project managers.
