Job Description

The Bellingham Bells are in search of a full-time, 12-month, Director of Operations. This position will play a key role in team operations, with particular interest and attention to sponsorship activation, event management (game days, special events, youth camps), management of Joe Martin Field and associated rentals. A successful candidate will be a proven event manager with the ability to manage operations, plan successful events, and create/refine systems for continued improvement operational efficiency.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work to create/refine systems for continued efficiency during game days and special events.
  • Assist with execution of sponsorship and corporate event sales, including account management and managing the activation of sponsored items.
  • Serve as primary facility manager for Joe Martin Field. Manage pre-season setup, post-season takedown, facility rental, maintenance schedules and communication/coordination with outside user groups.
  • Serve as primary event manager on all Bells home game days, working closely with game day staff, vendors, sponsors and special event participants.
  • Plan and execute all Bells special events (outside of game days), including camps, clinics, golf tournament, and other special events in and out of season.
  • Assist general manager as needed with operational/strategic plans and special projects.


Minimum Required Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree

● Willingness and ability to work a varying range of hours, evenings and weekends.

● High attention to detail and experience coordinating/organizing events and programming.


Preferred Qualifications:

● At least (2) year of experience in event management, operations or project management.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web based project management programs, and overall high computer literacy


Compensation

● Base salary + commission opportunities ($58K - $72K)
