Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Operations to oversee and enhance the operational efficiency of our hospitality establishment. As the Director of Operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of all operational aspects, optimizing guest satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. Your strong leadership skills, strategic mindset, and exceptional attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our organization.


Responsibilities:


Operational Excellence: Develop and implement strategies to streamline operational processes, improve service delivery, and enhance guest experiences throughout the establishment.

Staff Management: Lead, inspire, and manage a diverse team of hospitality professionals, including department heads and staff members, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high levels of employee engagement.


Financial Management: Collaborate with the finance department to create and manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.


Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality standards for all operational activities, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.


Guest Satisfaction: Monitor guest feedback, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions to continuously enhance the guest experience, exceeding their expectations and driving customer loyalty.


Performance Analysis: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven strategies to achieve business objectives.

Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services, while maintaining strong partnerships to secure competitive pricing and quality.


Crisis Management: Develop and implement comprehensive contingency plans to address potential crises, such as natural disasters or security breaches, ensuring the safety of guests and staff.


Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop training programs, and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to enhance the skills and capabilities of the operational team.

Innovation and Growth: Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, identifying opportunities for innovation and implementing strategies to drive business growth.



Qualifications:


  • Food and beverage knowledge is a must
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using hospitality management software and other relevant technology tools.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in a senior operational role within the hospitality industry, with a focus on upscale establishments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to analyze complex situations and make sound decisions that align with business objectives.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address operational challenges effectively and efficiently.
