For over 40 years, Nelnet has been serving its customers, associates, and communities. This position will be responsible for overseeing the EPC Operations’ division of Nelnet Renewable Energy (NRE). This will include structuring a best in-class EPC business with KPI deliverables to help keep our install teams efficient and our investment stakeholders informed. Collaboration across teams will be pivotal to success; sales, procurement, deployment of critical construction assets, and predictive workforce scheduling/capacity management, billing, customer support, and operations & maintenance. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 3-5 years of solar or construction experience in office setting or in the field (required) Pay range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000 annually, depending on experience. • Oversee day-to-day operations of EPC business. Align all operational activities with company’s strategic goals and objectives
• Strategic Planning – Assist with strategic planning process of the organization. Collaborate with senior leaders to develop organization’s strategy and goals, as well as identifying and prioritizing key initiatives to achieve those goals
• Oversee the transparency and reporting of the performance of the Operations function. Create and implement process improvements related to customer, associate, community, and shareholder
• Financial Performance – Responsible for managing financial performance of the EPC business – including forecasting, KPIs, benchmarks, trending, and financial reporting. This includes ensuring the organization is operating within its budget and making necessary adjustments as needed to maintain financial stability. Implement reporting tools that create simplicity and transparency to the operational aspects of the business. Create efficiencies which allow NRE to be high quality, competitive cost solution for solar construction.
• Work closely with other senior leaders to ensure all functions are working together efficiently and effectively
• Systemize and standardize operating procedures across both the commercial/industrial and residential businesses EDUCATION :
• Team Management – Responsible for leading a culture of operational excellence. Leading and managing a team of direct and indirect reports. Includes predictive workforce management, setting performance goals, establishing safety training and goals, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring that the team is working effectively to achieve the organization’s goals. Develop systems to effectively manage workforce and construction asset utilization, optimization, and engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. EXPERIENCE :
• Operations Management - Manage all aspects of organization’s operations – including engineering, procurement, & construction. Includes production, logistics, supply chain management, workforce management, quality control, and customer service. Includes developing and implementing policies and procedures, monitoring and improving operational processes, and ensuring organization is meeting its targets and goals
• Construction project management required
• Responsible for overall coordination with project finance, legal, accounting and billing, key performance indicators
