Director Of Nursing (Don / Rn)

Thorne Crest Senior Living Community, an American Baptist Homes of the Midwest community, is looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as our Director of Nursing.

• Pay starts from $92,000-$100,000/year depending on experience
• In this critical leadership role, you will provide high quality managerial oversight of clinical care services to residents, working in accordance with regulations and established clinical best practices.
• This is a salaried Monday-Friday position, but may include some evening and weekend work as needed.

What You Will Do

As the Director of Nursing (DON), you will have oversight over a team of nurses, CNAs and other clinical staff. You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of resident care via assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation, developing care plans in collaboration with residents, families and staff, encouraging residents to attain and maintain their highest physical, mental and psychosocial well-being and supervising staff in day-to-day activities. Your leadership will encompass Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Care and Memory Care.

What You Will Need

• Prior successful supervisory experience.
• Ability to demonstrate positive attitude, emotional maturity to effectively communicate and interact with residents, families and co-workers.
• Requires strong critical thinking skills, independent judgment, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; current Registered Nurse license in Minnesota or current compact state license.
• Long Term Care experience preferred but not required.
• Covid-19 vaccination is required to work in a healthcare setting.
