Join our team! As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You'll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.
Systems engineers in Tactical Airborne Systems (TAS) at SNC are exposed to a wide variety of disciplines and systems ranging from mission systems to ejection seats to stores management. As a part of the team, this candidate will support existing mission and avionics systems and integrate new solutions on the A-29 Super Tucano aircraft.

This role is open to a hybrid schedule
Responsibilities Include:
Analyze deficiencies and improvements in the avionics/mission systems
Support integration of new solutions by generating requirements, block diagrams, test documents, etc.
Collaborate internally and with the OEM and customer to plan, certify, and field engineering solutions
Work with certification engineers to categorize the hazards of unexpected behavior in the avionics/mission systems
Collaborate with pilots and maintainers to conduct ground and flight tests and functional/configuration audits (FCA/PCAs) of modifications to aircraft and ground training devices
Travel domestically and internationally as needed
Interface with customers and subcontractors
Must-haves:
Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience integrating and/or testing avionics and mission systems
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred:
Experience with JIRA, Sharepoint, product lifecycle management
Experience integrating military mission systems
Experience or certification in INCOSE standards

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38
