Laboratory Manager

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Laboratory Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the laboratory and its staff. This individual will provide leadership and guidance to the laboratory staff, ensure that quality standards are met, and maintain a safe and clean environment for employees.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• Assigns work responsibilities to laboratory staff
• Performs other duties as required by management
• Oversees laboratory budget, schedules, personnel, equipment, supplies, and equipment maintenance
• Oversees lab budget in support of departmental needs; ensures lab budgets are properly funded
• Oversees laboratory budget, schedules, and personnel
• Ensures that lab reports are prepared in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Oversees laboratory budget and expenses
• Ensures that all lab procedures are followed; ensures compliance with all applicable regulations
• Ensures that all lab employees are trained on lab procedures; ensures that lab employees understand their responsibilities in the laboratory; ensures that lab employees are aware of any deficiencies in their performance; reviews employee performance; evaluates employee performance; conducts employee evaluations; conducts merit raises as needed; conducts training for new employees; maintains confidentiality of all documents related to employee performance evaluation

Required Experience

Bachelors degree in related field preferred (i.e. Biology, Chemistry or Public Health)

3+ years experience in laboratory management preferred (e.g. Laboratory Assistant Supervisor or Laboratory Director). Meditech experience is a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 $80,000.00 per year
