Job Description
Summary
The Educational Director is responsible for all staff related to the L.I.F.E. Program at Tulsa Dream Center. The Literacy Is For Everyone (L.I.F.E.) Educational Program is a place for children from all backgrounds to play, socialize, learn and grow. Responsibilities for this role include management and staff development of Educational Site Leaders, Lead Teachers, Teacher's assistants, and Enrichment leaders. This role will also direct staff meetings and be responsible for coordinating with the TDC Director of Programs for the daily operation of the program.
Administrative duties
Create, update, and keep policies and procedures in place for all education staff.
Supervise all education faculty recruitment and vetting prospective teachers/staff.
Assist Program Director in developing regular staff meetings.
Meet regularly with Executive Director for program development.
Maintain current curricula and develop new curricula with the help of teachers, students and other staff.
Monitor the progress of new and existing teaching methods.
Utilize the center for youth quality process/assessment and with those results: help coordinate observations/evaluations and develop an improvement program for each site.
Follow the program guides in relation to the current year's evaluation tool.
Maintain confidentiality of records, interactions and files of families and staff.
Assist in streamlining and ensuring that parent communication is regular and timely by working with the site coordinators to communicate thoroughly with parents and students.
Develop and implement continuing education trainings for all staff.
Keep accurate records of training material.
Be responsive by checking email every day and responding to requests in a timely manner.
Maintain paperwork and follow up on any parent conferences or disciplinary actions that take place.

Environment Duties
Use pre-program time to plan long and short-range activities in accordance with curriculu objectives, making sure to support developmentally appropriate practice as well as progran goals.
Ensure a safe and healthy environment and complete daily tasks assigned.
Work with administration team to implement new programming in response to changes of community needs.
Participate in regular cleaning of materials and classroom spaces.
Maintain classroom organization and rotate materials regularly.
Create a culturally inclusive classroom with activities that support different cultures and backgrounds.
Cultivate and maintain good working relationships with local school administration and teachers.
Cultivate and maintain a spiritual, Godly atmosphere for staff and students. - lead chapel/Bible study regularly.
