Position Overview


Face Reality is seeking a talented and experienced Director of Education & Acne Clinic, in Danville, CA, with a proven track record in education & training development, business development support and supporting clinic operations.

As the Director of Education & Acne Clinic you will be playing a critical role in managing the development of our Education content and Training curriculum, and equipping our team of Face Reality Instructors/Educators to ensure an outstanding experience for all types of our customers: Acne Expert students, clinic clients, clinical study panelists, and clinic special guests.


The mission of the Institute & Clinic is to function as multi-faceted center that:


  • Performs clinical studies for optimizing and testing new products and protocols
  • Treats clinic clients with best-in-class acne-clearing services while providing shared learning (shadowing) and mentorship opportunities for Acne Experts
  • Provides on-site continuous education for Acne Experts (licensed estheticians certified by Face Reality)
  • Maintains and optimizes clinic procedures and policies to ensure operational excellence and best business practices
  • Supports special guests, prospective accounts, influencers, and VIPs with exemplary service and experience

The position offers a rewarding opportunity for a driven, collaborative, and results-oriented individual looking to grow with a growing award winning company. Due to the dynamic demands of our Institute & Clinic and general business operations, this role is generally a Monday through Friday schedule but occasional evenings and weekends may be required as determined by business needs. Mondays will be designated work from home days and Tuesday through Friday will be onsite at our Danville offices.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy

  • Leads the Education strategy for Face Reality. Responsible for the development and execution of all content, internal and external training, and driving our Acne Clinic on its mission to become a multi-faceted center
  • Leads the strategy around execution and roll out to the internal instructors and plans for external Acne Expert Population. Works with the Vice President of Product Innovation and Chief Revenue Officer to develop and support Education and Training strategies for Face Reality
  • Supports continual review and process/program improvements in Training and Education areas and proactively surfaces areas of improvement


Education

  • Creates and maintains Education and Training materials (concept to execution) including product knowledge, protocols, brand history, etc. This includes the external calendar and content for the B2B Acne Expert population, and the internal calendar for all Institute instructors
  • Supports Danville office corporate and brand trainings
  • Develops B2B channel specific tools to assess training opportunities to improve Business Development & Key Account performance


Customer Focus

  • Drives the Customer Experience in all areas of Clinic operations, Instructors/Educators and Acne Expert education tracks, focusing on the Business Development and Account team activations
  • Works closely with the Senior Operations Manager and leads and mentors the Master Esthetician to provide explementary service for treating clients, performing clinical studies and to support VIP guests
  • Consistently focuses on meeting internal and external customer (B2B Channel) expectations


Project Management

  • Responsible for adhering to creative process (briefing, project management) and cross functional approvals
  • Utilizes company PM system, Monday, to manage and track all projects appropriately collaborates with other departments, and moves projects to completion


Collaboration

  • Collaborates with Business Development Manager - business partners and other relevant departments to maintain and build on Customer Experience protocol in B2B channel; managing ongoing educational aspects of the program
  • Builds relationships with cross-functional departments and team members, and promotes a positive work environment among Instructors, Education leads, Product Development, AEST, and Marketing


Facilitation Skills

  • Effective in a variety of settings and able to flex midstream if needed
  • Actively participates in Tradeshows, Sales Meetings, Acne Expert events/conferences, Launch Webinars and other meetings to drive high performance results

Acne Institute:

  • Works hand in hand with the Product Development team to develop and execute clinical trials, test new products and support new product launch campaigns
  • Builds the best-in-class team through coaching, training, and successful onboarding of new team members
  • Oversees the Master Esthetician who runs the daily operations of the Acne Clinic, ensuring that excellent service is consistently delivered to clients & guests
  • In partnership with leadership, sets proactive KPIs for sales and profitability, monitors progress against those and adjusts as needed to set up team for success
  • Works in partnership with the Senior Operations Manager on clinic merchandizing strategy to drive sales and test new tools and products for resale to clients
  • Partners with members of the corporate team to develop and employ sales and local marketing initiatives, process improvements and other best practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Skills and Training:

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills to convey complex information, instructions, and guidelines in a clear, concise, and specific manner, and to influence and persuade all levels of staff
  • Demonstrated managerial skills and human resources management knowledge, including staff deployment, resource utilization, budgeting and financial management, quality improvement, and program planning and implementation.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in Education, Learning and Development role for a skincare brand
  • Rapid learner with the ability to grasp concepts and protocols
  • Possess the ability to identify and solve problems, organize and manage multiple priorities, set goals and expectations, delegate responsibilities, and effectively interact with and lead staff
  • Strong computer proficiency required including Microsoft Suite, experience with Spa Management software like Vagaro is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree and / or equivalent combination of experience / training



Salary: $130k-$165k plus Bonus and Full Benefits Package
