Job Description

Nextname is in need of a Director of Affiliate Marketing. The right candidate for this chair will be a strategic problem solver, but more-so an enthusiastic and energetic leader who can motivate and drive Nextname in acquisition, optimization and account management. They will also be responsible for achieving targets set for themselves and building out their affiliate team, whilst reporting to President of Nextname. If you are self-driven, highly motivated, and have preexisting affiliate relationships then this is the role for you. This is a position that would start off as 1099, project based, but may lead to a full-time position if shown to be successful.


Responsibilities:


  • Management of high-scale budgets on a daily basis
  • Ownership of affiliate technical, commercial and operational issues
  • Identify key affiliates and work closely with them to build relationships, generate further exposure and increase revenue
  • Show leadership ability to take responsibility for other members of the team on a daily basis
  • Planning and executing affiliate marketing promotions
  • Create a website for our Nextname athletes with social media links embedded/integrated into the site.
  • Negotiation of deals, promotions and incentives with affiliates
  • Building relationships and maximizing performance from existing affiliates
  • Plan affiliate events and meetings with third party networks so as to strengthen relationships and grow existing business in addition to acquisition
  • Planning and specifying new affiliate marketing strategies
  • Ensuring developed team will be continuously seeking new, and optimizing existing affiliate partnerships to drive sales
  • Responsible for developing an affiliate team and once developed, responsible for day to day running and development of team
  • Review and restructure existing deals where necessary so as to ensure they are efficiently structured and commercially viable
  • Providing high level reporting and commentary on weekly performance of brands


Skills & Experience:


  • Ability to present to key stakeholders including Company Directors
  • Excellent leadership, management and interpersonal skills
  • Some previous experience in the sporting events marketing and affiliate world would be a huge plus.
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills
  • Ability to build excellent working relationships internally and externally
  • Demonstrate a can-do approach both mentality and in attitude
  • Knowledge in US Sports industry is a must.
  • A team player with strong communication skills (both verbal & written)
  • Proven track record in US Affiliate Marketing, must have established connections and be ready to hit the ground running.
