WHAT IS THE JOB?


As the Director of Merchandising & Planning, you will focus on excellence throughout the product life cycle - from planning, to buying, to managing inventory, to analyzing performance. This role reports to the SVP of Merchandising, Planning & Wholesale. This is a full-time exempt position.


WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES?


  • Plan and develop the inventory strategy by subclass to deliver sales and gross profit targets.
  • Manage in-season business by tracking and analyzing all channels to identify opportunities and optimize in-season inventory stock levels across locations.
  • Provide seasonal program and fabric projections to better inform production and supply chain.
  • Manage basic stock replenishment with weekly focus on stock, projections, and fabric inventory.
  • Support Pop-Up, On-the-Road, and new store openings by ordering and managing product inventory.
  • Generate and manage the Open-to-Buy; present to finance team quarterly.
  • Responsible for product allocations, distribution, and replenishment to all channels.
  • Own all of ANT inputs including annual plans, forecasting to the weekly level, monthly receipt reconciliation, and reforecasting based on tops-down plan changes.
  • Collaborate with Merch/Design to build seasonal line plans by category to drive financial goals while supporting the brand vision.
  • Prepare and conduct seasonal hindsight review with the product team; deliver all requested product selling data to support design meetings as well as vendor development.
  • Provide cross-functional communication (retail stores, web, wholesale, distribution center) related to inventory strategy.
  • Manage a small team to aid in their career development while ensuring all key deliverables are achieved.
  • Developing and driving seasonal sale strategy and potential liquidation events.


WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS?


  • 5+ years of experience in a retail planning role.
  • Senior Manager level or higher with forecast and retail planning experience.
