Job Description

We are seeking an experiencedMedia-Focused Director of Analyticsto lead our team of data analysts.

We are a dynamic and rapidly growing Media Team that specializes in using Power BI to create innovative solutions for our media team and our clients. We are passionate about leveraging data to drive process improvement, quality control, and optimization for our client’s advertising executions.

We are looking for a Director with deep experience in both Traditional and Digital Advertising. The Director of Analytics will report to the SVP of Media. Our analytics team is large and serves the data needs of not only our world-class media buying and planning teams but is also the main source of tracking and reporting of our campaign performance across our agencies and to our clients.

Skills and abilities we’re seeking:

  • Thorough understanding of both media planning and media buying (linear & digital). Experience as a Media Planner or Media Buyer or both is helpful.
  • Knowledge of best practices for Local Broadcast and Out of Home Advertising: CPP, CPM and Efficiency Calculations
  • Analyzing digital advertising campaign data, including ad spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, and other key performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of media software, research tools: Media Tools, SQAD, Strata, Prisma, Google Campaign Manager, Flashtalking, Nielsen, Scarborough, Ad Intel, Media Ocean
  • Experience in the data worlds of both Digital and Traditional Advertising
    • Analyzing digital advertising campaign data, including ad spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, and other key performance metrics.
    • Knowledge of best practices for Local Broadcast and Out of Home Advertising: CPP, CPM and Efficiency Calculations
  • Expert with PowerBI and PowerQuery is required, Familiarity with Tableau also preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI and related tools and technologies. Proficiency with DAX, M, and SQL
  • Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and data visualization.
  • Experience in using analytics to drive process improvement and quality control initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of analysts to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a Marketing Field

Experience:

5+ years of experience working with advertising data, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role (i.e. Media Planning, Media Buying or Digital)
