Summary:
As Director, IT Asset Management, you will develop and lead the strategy, roadmap, and implementation plan for an enhanced IT Asset Management (ITAM) function. You will be responsible for building out the right policies, processes and systems supporting ITAM, in order to provide scalability, costs savings and optimized asset usage to our organization. This role will report to the office of the CIO.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the organization’s response to software vendor license compliance audits or license validation requests, in consultation with the relevant vendor and sourcing team
  • Report on (or develop reporting on) remediation of digital technology asset-related risks and progress of optimization activity
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, and that data completeness and quality issues are quickly identified and escalated to the responsible data or process owners
  • Manage the everyday functions of the core IT asset management team. This includes staffing, budgeting and other relevant management functions required to hold all stakeholders accountable for optimizing the cost, risk, and benefit of technology assets throughout their life cycle
  • Ensure that appropriate resources (people, tools, services) and processes are in place to gather and analyze data relating to technology asset life cycles
  • Ensure that ITAM-related tools and services are properly evaluated, selected, implemented, configured, and maintained, with appropriate integration with other sources of organizational data
  • Identify and report on breaches of ITAM policy, and track remedial action
  • Develop, track, and publicize key technology asset value metrics that align to executive and organizational critical priorities
  • Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to hardware and software IT asset risk management
  • Promote and advocate the value of ITAM to the CIO and organizational leaders. This includes developing and promoting effective ITAM strategies, policy, approaches, and practices across the full range of technology assets used within the organization
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • Minimum 10 years of IT experience with at least 4 years directly leading enterprise level programs related to asset management
  • Minimum 4 years of demonstrated leadership experience building cross-organizational consensus with exposure to technology providers and/or business clients
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Effectively handle ambiguity in all aspects of work, including business direction and strategy
  • Maintains excitement for a process and drives to new directions of meeting the goal in the face of unfavorable odds and setbacks
  • Ability to sense emerging needs and drive change as ITAM develops and matures to meet organizational and technology challenges
  • Ability to plan and provide structure and organization in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in a matrix management environment (as well as external vendors and service providers) to ensure that segregation and overlapping roles are identified and coordinated
  • CITAM and COBIT 5 Foundation certifications are desirable
  • Proven track record of setting targets, executing a plan, and delivering results
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate collaborative solutions to complex problems, understanding potential impacts to processes and related IT systems supporting the company
  • Ability to develop a vision and strategy for ITAM and execute it effectively to drive results toward business objectives
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to balance and effectively prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Physical Demands:

Work Environment:
  • Occasional travel to manufacturing environments where exposure to outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and potentially hazardous condition. In the environments, employee must follow all applicable safety and PPE guidelines
  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable environmental elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.
