The Director - Investment Banking, Restructuring role offers an opportunity for the ideal candidate to leverage the firm’s rapidly expanding platform to deliver restructuring investment banking services to middle market companies experiencing transformation, transition, stress and / or distress, including liability management, financing, M&A and / or restructuring solutions, whether implemented out-of-court or through bankruptcy. The role is a client delivery leadership position that represents a unique opportunity for a highly capable professional with a proven track record to make substantial contributions to overall firm growth. This is a key role in building the investment banking platform and enabling middle market clients to achieve their strategic priorities. Ultimately, the Director - Investment Banking, Restructuring will focus on leading challenging and complex engagements within a collaborative team environment as well as ensuring all aspects of engagements are delivered with the highest quality standards and impact.

Responsibilities

• Creating and presenting client deliverables
• Working with the team to execute all deliverable workflows necessary to consummate transactions for middle market companies undergoing transformation, transition, stress and/or distress
• Running both sales and financing processes, both in-court or out-of-court, and overseeing associated diligence
• Negotiating, documenting and leading transaction execution
• Reviewing and analysing valuation analysis, debt capacity analysis, financial modelling, credit document analysis, restructuring analysis and modelling

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong email etiquette
• Eagerness to be responsive at all times and act with urgency
• Commitment to develop personal network and relationships, uncover and sell new opportunities and engagements
• Maintains Series 79 and 63 FINRA licenses or must obtain within 120 days of employment
• High degree of maturity with ability to build rapport with senior executives, private equity firms, lenders and lawyers and deliver high-value work that exceeds client expectations
• Ability to deliver and craft articulate, persuasive presentations, with elevated attention to messaging, structuring, formatting and quality control
• 10 plus years of professional experience, including six plus years of investment banking transaction experience, in restructuring or restructuring-related practice lines
• Experience supervising other professionals and acting in a manner that that serves to motivate, inspire and develop
• Commitment to out-perform in high pressure, time-constrained environments
• Expert in bankruptcy law, valuation and credit agreements
• Proven leader in the delivery of high-quality work that exceeds client expectations
• Bachelor’s degree from a top university required
• Superior organisational skills and attention to detail

Compensation

The annual base salary for this role is estimated to be $250,000 per year.
