Starbucks Digital Solutions (SDS) is a new service organization commissioned to develop and deliver digital capabilities to our markets around the world. This newly created leadership role will provide strategy, implementation, and operational support in establishing and managing this new service organization. This position will work closely with the executive SDS business leader in establishing processes and coordinating and aligning the SDS Technology and regional functional teams to meet the objectives of Starbucks Digital Solutions.


As a director, International – Strategy & Programs, you will…


  • Ensures alignment of strategy, plans, budgets and resources and help navigate trade-offs between timelines, budget and new capabilities
  • Provides regular updates to the SDS executive and supports the development of regular SDS communications (both internal and external)
  • Ensures the SDS technical and business teams are progressing as planned toward established goals; escalates to the executive SDS leader as appropriate
  • Helps drive clarity in SDS processes, roles, and responsibilities and establishes working routines for the SDS workgroups
  • Ensures teams are collaborating effectively across functions and regions (e.g. technology, deployment, digital retail experience, operations, and analytics & insights)


We’d Love To Hear From People With


  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree (preferred)
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience taking on roles of progressive responsibility
  • 7+ years of experience in project planning, management and delivery including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk quality, integration, procurement, and communications
  • 12+ years of working across functional business units to develop effective business solutions that align with company and business unit objectives
  • A consumer-centric, technologically savvy professional, responsible for bringing together IT and business priorities, has a deep understanding of data and analytics coupled with the creative mindset to transition raw data into actionable insights and compelling marketing, strategy and execution
  • Financial acumen - business modeling 5 years
  • Technology / Digital experience (preferred)
  • Experience with digital technology
  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of leading in a high growth environment with a demonstrated ability in leading large scale, cross functional projects with significant financial impact and involving people from multiple levels
