Reporting to the Vice President for Finance & Administration and Chief Business Officer, the Director, Business Office is responsible for all University business office functions, including daily accounting operations, year-end and month-end financial close, financial reporting, general ledger hierarchy and data accuracy, financial literacy and training, and financial information security requirements. As Director of the Business Office, the position is responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and audits. Also responsible for financial information security requirements and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) compliance. The Director will analyze and recommend tuition and fee structure for the University.


This position leads a team of 2FTEs, with assistant bursars and data analyst as direct reports. The incumbent will play an essential role in the division’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, lead cross-functional working groups, and serve on various campus committees.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Finance, with at least 3 years in higher education financial roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Preferred:

  • CPA/MBA or other advanced financial qualification.
