Program Manager – Joseph Koenig Sr., Training Center, Morton Grove

This is a full-time position overseeing a staff of developmental trainers who work at the Joseph Koenig Sr. Training Center. Duties include: perform QIDP duties, assist with program support, oversee personnel functions, ensure maintenance of building equipment, furniture, and supplies, and implement general responsibilities.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a related human service field; Minimum of one year full-time professional experience with persons with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Should be experienced in the dynamics of individual and group behavior. State of Illinois QIDP; Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.

Community Employment Manager, Joseph Koenig Sr., Training Center, Morton Grove

This is a full-time position overseeing the Community Employment Department. Duties include: provide vocational counseling to eligible participants in all programs, conduct employer education, train job developers, monitor program implementation/data/payroll/attendance, complete documentation/reports, develop jobs in the community, conduct employer education, perform QIDP duties, assist with program support, oversee personnel functions, and implements general responsibilities.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a related human service field; Minimum of three years full-time professional experience with persons with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. One year supervisory experience preferred. Should be experienced in the dynamics of individual and group behavior. Experienced in collecting, analyzing and reporting on data, State of Illinois QIDP; Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)

Full and part-time positions available supervising and training adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in Shore’s group homes and Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILAs) in Skokie and Evanston. Duties include:

  • Support individuals to reach their personal outcomes.
  • Supervise individuals obtaining vocational skills.
  • Facilitate group activities by running curriculum-based activities
  • Facilitate community outings using Shore vehicles.

Requirements: Valid Driver’s License and a clear driving record; One or more years of on the job experience working with individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities; High School Diploma or equivalent; English reading/verbal/writing skills, math, interpersonal, organizational, ability to work independently as well as part of a team and basic computer skills. Seeking candidates for afternoon positions e.g. 3-11 p.m., overnights and weekends.

The Developmental Trainer will assist with providing the clients in care with gaining, retaining or improving self-help, socialization and adaptive skills in the Adult Services Day Programming.

– Assist individuals in activities within the Adult Day Services Program.
– Assist individuals with goals and tracking progress.
– Develop and implement meaningful group activities.
– Supervise community integration activities.
