Digital Project Manager Associate

The Brand Sites team within the Digital Capabilities organization is General Mills’ internal Creative and Technology product group committed to creating digital-first experiences that connect consumers to brands. We deliver websites and digital experiences for a broad range of General Mills brands, including Cheerios, Annie’s, Nature Valley, Yoplait and Lucky Charms, to name a few.

We're looking for a driven and motivated Digital Project Manager Associate with a holistic view of modern marketing to deliver projects based on consumer insights and data. The role requires a deep level of insight, a passion for problem solving and a wealth of digital knowledge including familiarity with digital project management and disciplines such as SEO, web development, privacy and accessibility compliance, data and analytics, design and production - all critical skills for success in this role. The producer is responsible for project planning, documentation, stakeholder updates, and keeping all aspects of digital production projects moving forward.

The outputs of your work will include client communication, statements of work, status updates, prioritization planning, and the delivery of websites and other digital assets.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Manage the finances of projects and ensure project administration and billing is kept up-to-date
  • Highlight risks and issues early in the project life-cycle and develop creative mitigation strategies
  • Identify and appoint the correct resources and brief them appropriately
  • Facilitate conversations between creative teams, development teams, and clients
  • Execute and collaborate on the digital strategy set by our brand teams
  • Create SOWs with estimates and plan project schedules with all members of the product team
  • Work with media, SEO, creative agencies, and brand managers to ensure project specs are correct
  • Craft briefs with clients or internal stakeholders and build positive working relationships with them
  • Keep all parties updated on the status and delivery of projects
  • Manage accessibility compliance (audits, remediation) across all GMI brand sites

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience acting as primary vendor contact for 3rd party resources.
  • 3+ years agency project management or relevant experience in digital
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent experience
  • Be comfortable managing a range of different projects with multiple design and development teams and stakeholders
  • Passion for owning and understanding accessibility best practices.
  • Have the ability to translate very technical terminology to non-digital stakeholders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) accessibility standards and best practices
  • Familiarity with project management software (JIRA)
