Expected to work In Office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Potential to work from home on Thursdays.

Compensation Gross Hourly Wage of $17-$21 an hour, paid weekly.

1st Semester Junior or Senior majoring in an area of marketing or communications with proven academic success.

Internship

Summary /Objective

This internship assists in the development of Mellow Mushroom digital content for brand and local social media pages. Working directly with the Manager of Digital Media and the Social Media Specialist, this internship helps to coordinate and execute digital contributions to system marketing promotions, help coordinate Brand social media pages, execute digital content at the unit level, and help develop resources to support Mellow Mushrooms store owners’ social media efforts at the unit level.

Essential Functions

· Coordinate and contribute content to Brand and local social pages- i.e. Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and Instagram

· Evaluate digital performance

· Audit local listing site accuracies

· Perform Brand Development administrative tasks

· Help capture video and static photography content

• Contribute to and assist in digital calendar management
• Update digital training materials as needed
• Create video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok

Competencies

· Amateur photography and videography skills

· Strong understanding of social platforms. Including, but not limited to, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook

· Possess a high degree of drive

· Ability to handle multiple tasks within a constantly changing and demanding environment

· Strong project management and organizational skills; demonstrated track record for flexibility and urgency in prioritizing and organizing projects

· Excellent communication (written and oral), and problem-solving skills

· Outgoing, upbeat personality

· Stays up to date with pop-culture and digital trends

· Graphic design and copywriting skills are not required, but encouraged

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office and uses computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

· Frequently required to lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This Internship is a part time position. Three to four days a week 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
