Digital Media And Design (Entry Level)

MDW Associates is seeking a Digital Media and Design (Entry-Level) candidate to support OSD R&E at the Pentagon. The candidate will provide digital presence including website, twitter, linked and custom graphic design, and/or web support.

Responsibilities For This Position Include

• Developing, updating, and maintaining a variety of visual aids, including text and illustrations, for highly technical programs/concepts.
• Supporting and developing content on CTO.mil website.
• Assisting Team with graphics and editing support for briefings, reports, Fact Sheets, and other media.
• Planning continuous and long-term digital content campaigns as well as managing public high level social media accounts.
• Producing 2-D and 3-D illustrations scanned and edited photographs, images, drawings, and charts to include quickly and efficiently producing high-quality (color, and black and white) viewgraphs, and paper in acceptable media formats.
• Developing Web/IT plans, presentations, reports and status as required.
• Producing posters and videos of industrial trade show and conference quality according to the parameters and guidelines (to include timeframes) as requested by OUSD(R&E).
• Managing social media content, both production and scanning of related content produced by 3rd parties.
• Drafting and updating content, developing and refining site design and structure concepts as directed, developing html files with supporting graphics and JavaScript code, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations, and coordinating the uploading of the files to the website for the OUSD(R&E) and IR&D Innovation Marketplace.
• Designing graphics needed for social media and for internal use on a variety of media.

Required Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of social media outlets and content, both production and scanning of related content produced by 3rd parties
• A minimum of one year of expertise in website design as well as visual graphic design
• Demonstrated experience in graphic design - should have the ability to design graphics needed for social media and for internal use on a variety of media
• Experience planning continuous and long term digital content campaigns as well as experience managing public high level social media accounts

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience in developing a variety of visual aids, including text and illustrations, for highly technical programs/concepts to include: 2-D and 3-D illustrations, scanned and edited photographs, images, drawings, and charts
• Experience and skills in providing programming, web design, and database management for government/DoD organizations
• Extensive knowledge of DoD systems and web development software programs

Education Requirement/Required Years Of Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or Graphic Design and one year of experience in website design as well as visual graphic design

Clearance Requirements

• Candidates for this position must hold a Secret clearance.
