Diet Office Staff Jobs

The Diet Office Staff is a professional who assists the Dietitian in the efficient operation of the Clinical Nutrition aspect of the department. Responsible for all activities associated with the Diet Office.

Is responsible for receiving the patient’s diet and ensuring the correct menu and diet is sent to the patient by doing the following As the diet orders are received on the computer, they are to be filed in the Cardex. A menu is prepared for the patient for the next meal and next day. Heads the menus for the next day making modifications as needed. Modifies and checks the patients menu to ensure the selections are appropriate for the diet ordered. Passes menus to patients and assists the patient in the selection.

May be a DTR (Reg. Diet Tech) in good standing and a member of ADA. May possess an A.S. in Nutrition or related field, and/or have at least 2 years’ experience. Current Food Handlers Card. Proficiency in interacting with patients of all ages. Healthcare Nutrition related experience preferable.
