Dialysis Nutrition Coordinator Jobs

The Dialysis Nutrition Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the nutritional care of dialysis patients, including conducting nutrition assessments, developing and implementing nutrition plans, and monitoring patients' nutritional status. The Coordinator will also supervise and train other dialysis dietitians on the healthcare team. Working Conditions: The Dialysis Dietitian will work in a healthcare setting, typically in a dialysis clinic or hospital. The job may require standing for extended periods, as well as some lifting or carrying of equipment. The Dietitian may work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate patient schedules. • Monitor patients' nutritional status and provide recommendations for supplements or additional interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care for dialysis patients.
• Conduct initial nutrition assessments and follow-up evaluations for dialysis patients.
• Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper nutrition and dietary management in managing kidney disease.
• Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in renal nutrition, and incorporate this knowledge into patient care.
