Company Overview
Since 1993, Global Systems Technologies (GST Inc.) has enhanced national and homeland security by supporting Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Department of Defense (DOD) initiatives and resolving complex technical issues. GST is actively seeking an Engineering Technician in support of our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL) customer working full-time at the FAA Technical Center at the Atlantic City Airport.
Provides technical assistance in laboratory, engineering and scientific research, development, and testing and related activities.

Requirements

Requirements

Engineering Technician responsible for the following aspects of TSL’s Laboratory and Warehouse Operations program, but not limited to:

  • Construct simple equipment or parts.
  • Support Electrician installation activities.
  • Assist the Facility Manager in any aspect of the TSL’s safety program.
  • Logistics Support
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving of equipment or parts.
  • May prepare test articles.
  • Set up test equipment.
  • Infrastructure support
  • Use a variety of hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
  • Service instruments or equipment

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

  • Current or ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance and DHS Suitability.
  • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office Suite products, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Adobe Acrobat products.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in operation and management.
  • Possess a valid driver's license from the State of New Jersey.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • US Citizen
THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

  • A military background or familiarization, as well as an understanding of Explosive / Hazardous Materials subject matter is advantageous.
  • Experience with X-ray Screening Systems.
  • Proficient in the use of Forklift and Scissor Lifts.
  • Laboratory Operations Experience.

Not required to perform the assigned tasks.
