Devops Engineer Jobs

The DevOps Engineer will work collaboratively with software engineering teams to build and support a continuous integration / continuous delivery model. Opportunities afforded will be to automate and streamline operations and processes, build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations, troubleshoot and resolve issues in Dev, Test, Stage and production environments, and more. Successful candidates will be self-starters with an appetite to learn, take on responsibility, and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

This engineer would be responsible for leading the technical delivery of work for migrating applications off of traditional infrastructure to supported Kubernetes platforms (OpenShift and Azure Kubernetes Service). They will gather the technical build requirements from the application teams, develop the continuous deployment pipelines in GitLab CI/CD, and create the appropriate Kubernetes deployment(s) on the provided clusters.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of containers and orchestration environments (Kubernetes, Docker, etc)
• Cloud experience - AWS, GCP, Azure, or hybrid cloud solutions
• Experience with using knowledge management and code repositories (Github, Jira, and Confluence)
• Understanding of programming/scripting languages (Java, Python, Go, Bash, and/ or YAML)
• Experience with deployment tools (Ansible, Terraform) and securely maintaining and enhancing infrastructure as code.
• Re-tool the application’s Ant/Maven/bash build script to be more efficient (component re-use, semantic versioning)
• Implement ephemeral Kubernetes runtime environments through Openshift or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for the purpose of the CI/CD build
